Replacement wheel cable for accuforce2?

How do I go about replacing the coiled cable between the Accuforce 2 base and the original wheel?

It has 4-pin telephone plugs at both side, but I think it runs USB as protocol over it, so I don't think a plain telephone cable will do. Or will it?

If a generic cable works, could somebody point me to search terms or Amazon links that would work?

Had the same problem once. It is idd not a regular phonecable!
Simxperience send me this reply:

Hi Tim,

Sorry for your troubles.

You can buy these cables from Digikey.

Part Number A2662R-05C-ND

CORD COIL REVERSED 6-6 BLACK

Cost about $3.50 each.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

I hope this helps mate

OK, so that original cable at the link is backordered "23 weeks".

For those who find this thread later, I can confirm that this cable works:

There is a confusing bit here. The original cable says it is "style: reversed". However, you need an electrically straight cable. There is some confusing terminology in the telephone business here. You need electrically straight, that means the same colors are on pin 1,2,3,4,5,6 in both connectors.

To emphasize, this cable does not work, it is electrically reversed:
DO NOT BUY
