Ran the original release no problem. This one, the SweetFX install fails. I manually copied over the files and it works but something in the install is perhaps not right?

By default it starts in 64bit. If you use the game's 32bit executable, copy the d3d9.dll (32bits) into the Bin32 folder

The files work in Window 7/8/10. Regards

The SweetFX and Reshade package does not need installation.

Just copy the files in the path of the game: rFactor 2\Bin64

Required files from SweetFX v2.0:

SweetFX (Folder)
d3d9.dll
ReShade.fx
Sweet.fx

Required files from Reshade v3.0.8:

reshade-shaders (Folder)
d3d9.dll
d3d9.ini
Vivid and Realistic Colors Final - Special.ini

No error. The white rectangular installation box just notifies that the 'Installation Failed!'

I did a manual copy. If you don't get the error, then maybe it my system. Others may not know where and what to copy.

I did have the install from days earlier and didn't remove it. Maybe that caused?

Dude, there's nothing to install. If you are going to use SweetFX v2.0 you only have to copy the files that you mention and play.

Just copy the files in the path of the game: rFactor 2\Bin64 o Bin32

Required files from SweetFX v2.0:

SweetFX (Folder)
d3d9.dll
ReShade.fx
Sweet.fx

Try removing any previous SweetFX or Reshade files before proceeding

I was using the two included installers. idk.

anyhow it was working. found it bright. i'm probably one of the few that likes the default look of rF2. it's really quite natural when compared to video etc.

Reshade and SweetFX Final: Guide for New Users

Compatible: Window 7/8/10 (32/64bits)

Download: goo.gl/W8jP9X (DirectX+)

Author: JuanBonX (Mod), CeeJay.dk (Autor), Crosire (Reshade)

Description: Due to the confusion of some users I have created this little guide. I remind you that it is not necessary to use the executable .exe of (Reshade) in both cases.

****

Compatibility in Games and GPU:

Reshade v3.0.8 is for GPU range (medium and high)
SweetFX v2.0 for any GPU

I recommend Reshade v3.0.8 + preset v1.1 (FXAA ON) for ATS/ETS2 and (FXAA OFF) for most games.

****

Reshade v3.0.8 Final:

Copy the new files to the game path. Run the game as an administrator (Permanent Permit) after completing the entire process.

Important: Replace the following paths in dxgi.ini, d3d9.ini or opengl32.ini**

Example:

- TextureSearchPaths=C:Game\Cars\reshade-shaders\Textures (Texture)
- ScreenshotPath=C:Game\Cars (Screenshot)
- PresetFiles=C:Game\Cars\Vivid and Realistic Colors Final.ini (Preset v1.1)

Reshade menu: Activate with Shift + Delete. The key to activate and deactivate Reshade is INSERT or DELETE. By default it is activated when the game is started.

****

Required Files:

reshade-shaders (Folder)
dxgi.dll
dxgi.ini
Vivid and Realistic Colors Final.ini

- Direct3D 9

reshade-shaders (Folder)
d3d9.dll
d3d9.ini
Vivid and Realistic Colors Final.ini

- OpenGL

reshade-shaders (Folder)

Note: To use Reshade v3.0.8 on 32-bit systems, use the x86 dll folder (Backup).

****
