Retro lap times at Spielberg Historic aka Österreichring

Hi,

After a couple of days of practice on the circuit I was able to get a time of 1.46.070. What I'm worried about is that it is about 6 seconds slower than historical pole (1977 GP, the same layout with chicane), and the 100% AI. I've dropped wings to 1 at front and 2 at the back, set the diff higher, and suspension stiffer. I don't understand where I can cut those 6 seconds from any more! Is it just me and my poor driving skills?

Just to note the Retro's are a 1975 version of F1 so in 77 im sure Lauda had more downforce or power than we do so that can slow times down.

1976 rather - it seems often overlooked that there is an actual 1976 F1 car in the mix in the Copersucar-Fittipaldi The other "generic" chassis is 1975 based but ran a couple more seasons. All in all performance didnt pick up substantially through those seasons - it was in 1978 with the introduction of the Lotus 79 and ground effects, that the revolution truly began.

I`ve played a bit with setup and with this one (still no aids and H shifter) I did 1.41,594. You are welcome to try it .

Thanks, got down to 1:43.804, which obviously isn't yet fast enough.
