Seems the mod scene has jumped a bit, if you could pick 5 of the best what would you pic, the downloads section ghere is a little messy as it seems there are updates mixed in with everything else.

I am into tracks and cars, but prefer race stuff and decent mods with numerous cars in

well i don`t think there is everthing messy in the download section.
I started with sorting track by downloads/rating and picked the best for me.
The same with cars... No problem if you spend a little bit time.

The first question is - do you use Content Manager/Custom Shader Patch ? Because todays more and more mods needs or recommend this.

There are also some very very good paymods out there. Definetly woth the money.

Well that was surprising.

All I have to say now is im beyond grateful for this website and its the furthest thing possible from a "waste of space". Ill stop there so I dont say anything offensive.
