RF2 Gasoline Alley?

What's up this devil? It's impossible to drive at Indy.It won't turn. At 90%, it's terrible to even think about trying to keep up with the AI. Anyone else have the same problem or solution? Maybe I should try and use part of the setup from Rf2 F1 Legends 1967?

Is this mod also anywhere for GTR2?
rF1 and rF2 only as far as I know. I usually run this about when the Indy 500 comes around on the calendar and as I recall, 90% AI difficulty produces real-life lap times at Indy. I'm a backmarker at 90% with this mod since I don't practice it. Why it was never calibrated for 100% AI producing real-life lap times we'll never know, but, it is what it is.

On turning, have you learned to hang the tail out? No, setups from other mods are not going to help, though you can do things with weight jacking to help turn.

I raced this many times on Italy long course and had fun

I fail to see how someone can get 140 MPH at Indy in the corners with the current setup.
With Guillame's base setup (see attached), I'm doing about 132 mph in the corners with heavy realroad, laptimes in mid 1:03s on the full tank (a little over 141 mph for lap speeds). That's with no drafting.

I'm pretty sure you can use an asymetric setup to get better laptimes, but my setup skills are very weak in that regard. I know Foyt and/or Unser were some of the first to use tire stagger, putting the larger tire on the right side, to get more left turn. Back in those days, tire diameters were inconsistent, so they'd measure each tire to either find matching pairs or purposely mismatch for stagger.

I tried Watson's Setup. Once the tires warmup, I still struggled at 1:04 at 91% AI with full tank. I will continue to work with it. Not sure how to put larger tires on the right as suggested.

You're doing fine then. Turn down the AI to match or challenge your skill as needed.

Doesn't look like we have the option to stagger tires, so the asymmetric tuning choices are tire pressure, caster, camber, toe, ride height, spring rate, and track bar.
