rFactor 2 these days.

I own rF2, but for some reasons I haven't played it for almost two years now.
I'd like to know what it is changed:
- in the physics (in my opinion almost all the cars seemed to have to much oversteer that time);
- in the graphics (also for the CPU/GPU usage);
- everything else.

Thank you for all the answers.

- oversteer; yeap that's still the same
- graphics have improved, it can look very nice and realistic in certain situations.
- cpu/ gpu usage the same I think (runs well for me, better than ACC by a long way)

Others:
New ui is still ... odd.
Loading times have improved.

Keep an eye on the rF2 news though, as on the Discord forum they are promising a lot of new things coming...

I haven't played it for almost two years now.
If you were to tell us why, it would narrow it down and make it easier to let you know if it has changed in the last 2 years.
Not much has changed, so probably not.
Also interesting to know what you have been doing for the last 2 years, not driven SIM or have you driven an other one or many many others.

I am in the camp of those who think it has gotten better over the last few months.
It took way too long though.
I had gotten to the point where I'd launch it about once every three to four months.
It was irritating watching it's potential squandered...specifically multiplayer ...or the lack thereof.
You'd click to join an online session and it'd take forever to download components, only to then have it fail after a very long wait.
The UI was completely changed and now it tells you exactly what is needed.
Track loading was another issue.
Most times you did not know for sometime if anything was even happening in the background....zzz
The sim still suffers some quirkiness....that darn smoke is still 'cotton-ball' looking junk.
Everything else looks and runs really nice otherwise. It looks way better than before.
The FFB over curbs is still some of the best in any simulation.
That BMW M4 Class 1 car is great to drive...one of the best in simracing.

I decided to download the updated rFactor 2. Just tryed a couple of cars on a couple of tracks. Now I feel the cars more drivable, maybe they have a better physics now.
I like the new menus, and the tracks are been loaded fast.
These are my very first impressions.

The people who make the mods usually take from other sims so its basically the same. The big chainge was the UI that went to something typical of other sims. It meant i could not use the Mas Utility and create my own custom championships. So i use the old UI. Its easyer and simpler for me to work with. But yes its the same game, its all about what mods you run with it that makes it unique. I love the fact you are in control of cars tracks ect and the developer dose not push the game in a specific direction. This means you you don't have to buy the latest version to keep up to date. Or just kick it old school. So the game grows with you.

I started playing approximately two years ago. I recall at some point there were to my eye at least noticeable graphics improvements. One of the biggest updates for me has been the many fantastic workshop mods (cars and tracks) that have come out in the last two years, as well as the additional laser scanned DLC tracks.

The biggest change software wise is the new UI which for me was a huge step backwards in reliability and usability, so if you encounter any reliability issues, which have prevented some from running the game with the new UI, you can still revert back to the old UI if needed.
