RFACTOR AIW

this is not working win 10 anymore i guess it's a sad situation
I've heard you CAN get the original rFactor editor working via Wine on your Linux distribution of choice, though :) You might also be able to create a basic AIW for the track in rF2, then modify it accordingly in a text editor and the guitarmaen AIW editor to get it working and well-optimized for rF1.

Whether some older software works in W10 or 11 often depends on where it is installed. From Vista on it is good practice to never install anything, especially older programs, in any "Program Files" folder unless absolutely necessary; the OS enforces stricter security in these folders which often interferes with file handling (this is so ridiculous that some MS software will not work properly in those folders).

If that isn't the issue use an installation of XP or Win7 in a VM in W10, opening the VM will give you that OS running in a window in W10.
