rift cv1 +sapphire r9 380 oc

hi im thinkin of getting the cv1 ,for my assetto gaming ,my cpu and ram is ok ,
but the occilus says that i must change the gpu

is anyone in here playing with this card and the cv1 ,will it work ?

the specs of my gpu says vr supported,,

I've no experience with the Rift, but I don't think your GPU is not able to calculate the necessary FPS's.

Honestly, you don't want to use a CV1 with anything less than a top end GPU. It takes a ton of horsepower and the experience isn't rewarding unless you can crank out 90FPS at mid level or above settings.

I am using a DK2, mostly with Assetto, my GPU is a R9 270X and I am enjoying every minute of it. It will work with your R9 380, it is only a question of compromise in settings and how much can happen at any given time in the game.
With ASW, it is surprising how well VR works with lesser GPU.

Out of interest: Is the DK2 less demanding for the PC in comparsion with the CV1?
And what frame rate you achieved with your GPU?
There is not much difference between your GPU and my GTX 770 OC.
And my GPU is NOT nearly able to handle VR in an acceptable way.

There is not much difference between your GPU and my GTX 770 OC.

I run a steady 75fps as long as I do not use PP. I usually race 11AI when offline and I have no issue online.
But yes DK2 is less demanding, it requires lower FPS and has lower resolution.
I do most of my driving with PP on now, but then I run in ASW mode, I was not crazy about ASW at the beginning, but now, I am not sure if it as improved or I got use to it, but running 1.5 PPD with PP on is my favorite setting compromise.
