Just this weekend I took the plunge on a Pico 4 with the intention of using it for sim racing, previously I had the original HTC Vive but never got on well with it because of how front heavy it is, the pico comparatively is light as a feather and has no cables at all so no issues sitting on it or trapping it in a shifter or handbrake etc, the quality difference between the two is staggering, i can read everything on the dash with the pico, it was all a blur with the vive.
For the price I don't think there is a better option at this time, I would factor in an additional 20-40 quid for a better facial interface and £15 for virtual desktop on the pico store (absolutely essential after testing streaming assistant and VD side by side)
Wire free PC VR is an absolute game changer, 2 caveats with that though, you need a wifi6 router to go wire free and you will need a beefy GPU to get the best results but your 3080 shouldn't have a problem with high or ultra settings in the more demanding, newer games. Older will be fine on godlike.
