Romano Fenati hits the brakes

Not much of a bike fan, but this is ridiculous. Video for those who haven't seen it:

What on earth  That must be very dangerous, not to mention a disgrace in the name of "sport".
Some really bad losers about these days.

Classic case of losing your cool in one insane moment. Creative though.

He was dq'ed, banned for two races, sacked by his current team and had his future contract with another team for 2019 terminated, so I think he's been punished.

The media generally miss how the other guy ran him off the track shortly before, but yes that would potentially have the other guy off the bike if he'd held it longer ( probably him too given which way they're leaning ). His career is done for even without an official long-term ban. So it should be too.

Riders sometimes bump the brake/clutch levers on other bikes, if you want to see what can happen.

Sadly not the 1st time Fenati has behaved badly, Moto3 in 2015 Argentinian GP he was reprimanded and force to apologise for kicking out at fellow competitor Niklas Ajo during the warmup lap. In 2016 he was dropped by Sky VR46 for disciplinary reasons. And now in 2018 he commits probably the worst unsportsmanlike act Ive seen in Moto racing. Obviously there was contact between him and Manzi a few laps prior that took them both off track and out of the points, but still no reason to grab the front brake at 225kph. To add to his woes Fenati will not ride the last 4 races after his 2 race ban, his season is done for 2019 too.

Also, this is what can happen

They also miss that Manzi crashed out in the next corner, with Fenati slowing down, to gesticulate and mock him for it...
