rough AI % range to aim for in prep for on-line

Hi all,

I am pretty new to both PC and AC racing and whilst awaiting some final kit I have been scratching the itch with a spare monitor and some jury rigged parts. I'd like to sign-up for the on-line racing once I get fully setup, but for now I'm just getting to grips with the car handling in the game and was wondering if there is a rough and ready AI % range that would be a good target to aim for in prep for on-line racing?

Currently I'm floating around 90-95% depending on how comfortable I am with the car and/or track. Getting around clean and tidy consistently is my number one aim as I'm slowly getting more au-fait with the handling nuances

I basically never race with the AI so I can't help with that bit; however, if you just go online and race against some random folk in open servers you will (apart from the usual frustration with poor driving standards) probably get some feeling for how quick you are.
Also, have you tried checking laptimes on the RSR system? (For example, this link shows times for the GT86 at Imola.) If you can get onto the fast side of the peak of the distribution for a popular combo, you can't be all that bad :)

Somebody else may be able to chip in with more useful info on the AI speeds at different settings though ;)

Thanks for the feedback. I jumped on a random practice session last night and realised I have a slightly bigger issue :). I think I have been handheld a little on my inputs with GTS on the PS4 and I was still running with the stability control and ABS, but dropping into an on-line session with those niceties removed was a bit of an eye opener. It took me about 4 or 5 laps to stop badly locking up or spinning out, but I eventually found a level to keep it clean for several laps, albeit about 4 seconds off the pace. It was on Brands Hatch GP and looking at the peak on RSR I seem to be on the slow side of the peak, so more practice definitely required!
