First lap, first corner incident.


Mikko in pole position makes a good start, pulls a couple of car lengths away from Peter on the start finish straight, brakes for T1, Peter, behind him, misses his breaking point by quite some way even in dry conditions and drives straight into the back of Mikko causing some damage and dropping Mikko from 1st position to 9th.

First time the race winning driver has ever reported something I think, does the fact Mikko still won have an effect on the incident though is the issue.

First laps are important to be careful, first corners even more so. But first corner of the season, definitely. Peter got caught out with the weather and unfortunately hit Mikko, for RPM it's a 15second penalty.

I voted 15 secs, the weather obviously caught him out and yes Mikko went down to 9th but he still won the race.

BFR voted for +60sec, it's t1 l1 of the first race and we desperataly need to keep the first three turns clean for everybody. As for Mikko not being affected, that is just sheer luck.

COR voted +60 sec because was L1 T1 and we need to keep as clean as possible on the first lap that is the most dangerous.
If Mikko then won the race can not be related to the accident.

60 Secs from AnE, For exactly the same reasons. The first lap is when everyone should be as careful as possible. I know he went on to win the race but this was a serious hit that cold have ended it all right there.
