RSS GT pack difficulty

I'm trying to find out if anybody with a similar setup can duplicate this issue.
Earlier this week, I purchased the full RSS GT pack.
Not having time then, I decided to try the Ferrari 550 variant today at Mugello.
The first thing that happened was it showed invalid setup on loading..
After changing suspension main / wheel rate, the drive option became available (not 'greyed' out anymore).
Next, I turned off completely steering assist.
My steering wheel just started oscillating violently as I moved away from the grid.
It would only stop shaking momentarily if preloaded to the left or right of center.
Next, I tried the Lister variant at Feldbergring.
I could not drive the car since the image in my Rift headset was full of ghosting with double images all over the cockpit.
Has anybody else experienced this?
I am using Windows 10-64/ v.1803 (17134.112) with (GTX1070...driver 398.36)...T500RS at default settings and driver 2.10.9.0 F/W 47.
Rift software is shown as 1.28.0.
I tried sending an e-mail to RSS' support but the captcha...despite reporting as correct, keeps repeatedly looping for a new verification entry even after selecting submit..
That's infuriating by the way.

Invalid setup is because setup ride heigth is too low, just rise the car touching the setup.

Steer assist leave it on 100% unless on corners your wheel gets too weak then you could try 75% or 50% steer assist, and it will have more force

Use tyre warmers to avoid invalid setup.
