They are quite likely just standard replacement headphone cushions, like the ones discussed in this video:
The replacement cushions are fine, nothing wrong with them, but I didn't notice any difference in sound quality between them and the stock cushions on the Odyssey.
On the Ebay page they talk about using hair ties to help the cushion press down more onto your ear, which does seem to have a reasonable affect at adding bass response. You can try this by listening to music in your VR headset and gently pressing the headphone towards your head.
