Saving helmets as a PSSG

i am having trouble getting my helmets to save properly, i open the pssg from bespoke helmets that i want, export the textures, edit them and then import them back in but it says

"could not create preview! value can not be null. parameter name: dib"

it saves but when i go into the game i have the actual F1 drivers helmet on,(i drive for sauber so its Sergio Perez's helmet)

if anyone could direct me on how to fix this problem it would be much appreciated.

You have to save the dds file as DXT5 format. You can do that using Gimp 2.8. Just go to file -> export and save as DXT5 under compression. And then you can save it in the PSSG.
