im trying to take screenshots in game i use the button i have assigned for it but and i hear it takes a picture but not sure where it has gone can anyone help?

F12 is default button to screenshot. The SS goes to GSC folder

Yeah, it goes to the root game folder. The files are called GRABXXX.jpg, where XXX is a number.

I tried that once but it didn't work, no GRABXXX.jpg file in the root. Could the app have any incompatibility w/ other software that I can check (ex. MSI afterburner)?

Joel are you running it in windowed mode it doesn't work if your running the game in windowed mode

Nope, always run sims in full screen. FWIW, I can take screenshots with fraps, but it's an extra step to run the app, rather than use the in-game facility since it's available. Not sure if it may be conflicting with other software, like trackmap, msi afterburner, but I haven't really spent much time diagnosing. Just wanted to know in case I'd need it again.
