Cars Setting up base line gear ratios question.

So I've installed a certain GT3 car from an other site which had a few issues, one was engine power that I have sorted, plus it didn't seem to have any drag, also sorted. Final issue I found is that it had fixed gear ratios which were a bit on the high side. I've looked at the data files of other cars and figured out how to give the car adjustable ratios in the setup menu, what I haven't manage to sort out was how to set up a set of ratios as a base line to work a setup from. The ones it loads automatically are a bit odd. Please bare with me, I did most of this by copying data from other similar cars with a view to altering them to suit.

The default ratios are usually the ones set in drivetrain.ini

Thank you, I have sort of got my head round it now, I found it best to select the ratios i wanted in the setup menu, then convert the fractions into decimal ratios for the drivetrain ini for the desired default.
