sorry to hear your wheel is not working on this sim it may be better to write a support ticket on the official forum.
maybe the tech guys form Kudos can give a answer.

A wheel is a wheel and should record the input movements no matter how old it is as long as it works in windows. whether it works in Ac is another story
but as you can use a keyboard or joystick or joypad why not your wheel also.
i assume you have it working in other sims. and all is ok.
