Sim Labs P1 or RSeat S1

Planning on purchasing my first proper seat set-up when I return from hol later this week

I have not had the opportunity to use my sim kit for 10 months due to a house move

I now finally have the space with my own soon to be man cave 4x5m loft room

I’m leaning towards a simlab P1 with builtin monitor mount and a 49” Samsung ultrawide

Or should I go RSeat S1

Looking forward to unpacking my wheel and peddles again soon

Depends..... simlap is more expensive but very nice and more possibilities! Rseat S1 is a good ultra strong... good enough for future with a dd wheel. I have a Rseat S1 and I like it! No flex..ultra strong and nice for your eyes. But the race seat is a little pain in your ass if you drive long runs for hours.

Been doing some more reading up to support my choice
I do like the look of the RSeat but the RSeat S1 with a monitor stand and delivery is more expensive that the SimLabs P1 with the bolt on monitor stand which I think I prefer the look of

Th RSeat does have a good selection of extra bolt on bits, but they are quite expensive for what they are and I think you could achieve similar results with the P1 for very little money

Still leaning towards the Simlab P1

Go for P1, I have heavily modded RS1 and while it works, regret not going 8020 route. It just never will be as stable, there is always some flex in wheel, pedal, and shifter deck.
Will be getting black P1 to replace it at some point.

As above if aesthetics are of no importance then purely on performance a Sim Lab P1 will vastly outperform any RSeat rig. It will be both more rigid and have significantly more customisation ability to get it just right for you.

Then you have the fact it’s significantly cheaper, the RSeat extras as you’ve seen are very expensive but those prices you see don’t include VAT so add another 20% if you’re in the EU and then delivery cost is also far higher than Sim Lab. They are much more expensive than they first appear and massively overpriced IMO.

Anyway Sim Lab P1 would and was my choice when deciding between the two and I have no regrets.

Finally back home from holiday - loads of plans in my head for my new office / man cave

Just pushed the button on the following Sim-labs kit
  • P1 sim racing cockpit - Front mount 15 mm
  • FIA LTEC PRO – Bucket seat - Pro, Black
  • Seat slider
  • Integrated single monitor mount VESA 75/100 mm, Gray
Excited to be making a start on a proper set-up :)
