Sim Racing titles in CPU/GPU reviews. Why are they missing... ?!?

Dear Forum Members,

I've always wondered why not a single hardcore sim racing title like Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Automobilista 2, Rfactor 2 is included in any of the CPU/GPU reviews by leading YouTube reviewers. If such titles are included it'll really be of big help to us in deciding our upgrades.

Today the 5800x3D is launched and in some games the tripling of V cache shown upto 35% improvement in FPS over the standard 5800x. But ofcourse we have no clue whether it makes a difference in Sim Racing titles as our titles are completely missing/overlooked.

I would request senior members from our forum/community to please email and request leading YouTube reviewers to atleast include 1 of the above mentioned Sim Racing titles in their hardware reviews.

Thanks.

Most do Codemasters F1 as a representative of the genre, some will have tested Forza too. But largely I think a big part of it is the lack of mass sale/appeal of the simulators. iRacing would be a nightmare due to its subscription model and its a likely reason we rarely ever see MMORPG or similar reviews, the always online nature is just a problem with repeatability. They really choose games that push hardware more and most simulators are kind of old at this point and aren't really worth benchmarking.

FWIW iRacing tends to be pretty easy to run. It handles VR very efficiently and until recently when they added AI's it never had to generate the action of virtual race cars. They also have split it to use a few cores. I never see maxed out CPU cores even with settings high and 120fps in VR.

I can run DR 2.0 at 90 fps fairly comfortably with almost no reprojection, however there is usually a CPU core running at nearly 100%. So this title is definitely CPU constrained.

ACC currently has the title of being the GPU slayer and would require me to lower a number of quality settings to work reasonably well. I gave up on it since I'm exclusively in VR.

My thoughts are that iRacing will tend to run neck and neck with AC in terms of performance. iRacing may actually run a bit easier.

Yeah I agree it's frustrating. 30+ youtubers all benching the same stuff. Seems pointless. You would think one of them would be like what's the point of doing the same thing everyone else is doing. Maybe I should use this as an opportunity to try to carve out a niche for myself. Something that would distinguish me from my peers.
