Simcube2 pro causing USB/wheel disconnect

Hi
I am hoping you can help.
My wheel/usb disconnects regularly.

My setup is
simucube2 pro
sfx100 motion

without the motion on the wheel is okay
when the motion rig is turned on there is interference

I have tried the following
- ferrite cores on everything
- usb isolator - PC for the simucube
- powered usb hub for wheel
- ground wires on simucube

- the motion rig is also grounded

I hope someone can help

I have a similar problem with my SC2 and DIY USB wheel when I crash and the wheel turns violently.
In my case its the cheap USB cable that gets yanked and looses contact.

What kind of cable do you use, normal USB jack or screw in connector?

MFG Carsten

Hi
The SC2 is the cable that came with it complete with ferrite cores and a usb isolator on the PC end.
The CubeControls wheel is the wire that comes with it, with ferrite cores, and a usb isolator plugged into a USB hub, although the issue still happens when plugged directly into the PC

If my memory is correct, wasn't there two different cable types for the SFX servos? The original type and an upgraded type with better shielding for EMI. I wondered if that could be a possible cause, depending on which type are you using.

Cube controls has screw in jacks if I remember correctly so these should be sound.
May try to stir and agitate the cable to rule out a broken wire.
(there´s probably a reason these cables are offered as spare parts)

If that doesn`t lead to a disconnect you have the complicated problem.

Good luck Carsten

Hi!! Sorry to bring up and old thread, but did you get this sorted?
My simucube keeps disconnecting for a very split second after setting up my motion rig!!
