Skin creation I Wheel color problem

Hey, I have a small question, when I create a skin (via photoshop) the color of the wheels is not taken into account (it stays black) who knows why?

Are you putting skin to 99 pure carbon as I find that takes away abilities to change wheel colour if you leave at 100 wheel colour can still be changed but find some of the original skin design may show on custom skin. I've not looked much into it as I paint onto blank carbon
