Skin Issues: Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I finally found the templates thread and downloaded the template. Spent the better part of today painting a new car but it is way too shiny. No matter what i do i cant get rid of it. I remember this with my rfactor skins but if i saved it in dxt1 as opposed to dxt5 than i had no issues at all. I've saved my game stock skin 20,000 different ways and it still ends up like a mirror in game. Does anyone have any ideas?? Thanks in advance

Did you take the reiza templates or the ones I put on the forum?

All can be saved in DXT5. For the windows you must use DXT5...

I used your skin Patlezinc and i tried dxt5 but it is still super shiny. Any other things i could try that you know of?

Hope you dont mind if i hijack your post Nathan. No idea about your prob sorry.

I have a prob with windows not looking transparent in external view. There fine in cockpit but look tinted from outside. Saved as DXT5.

Original templates have alpha layer problems.

Strange. A parameter in the nvidia plugin perhaps... Can you put a screen of the nvidia box here?
