All, with the (frankly astonishing) reduction on skinpack size I've been able to achieve by basically-
a) ignoring the GTL standard files layout model, and
b) putting stills instead of videos,
I'm going to get to work on the rest of an RD skinpack.
It's going to be slightly more abitious in amounts of cars than previously, because if, as it appears, I can get a set of approx 10 cars per 4Mb archive.
There's 27 cars in the 12.3 Mb skinpack, 10 in the 3.5Mb 914 pack, so it's averaging out to about 4Mb per 10 cars depending on skin complexity. For instance, the Abarth skins take up more space than the Elites because the Abarth uses 2 files to create the bodywork, & the Elite only 1. Although I know that last bit isn't very interesting for most / any of you.
If any of the skinners out there fancies dabbling in this, please contact me and we can chat about what you want to do.
