Skins don't work on some cars

Hi. I have at times chosen a skin with a car and it works, Next time, the same car won't accept any skins. Other cars never accept a skin. I know the skins are for the correct car. Two cars that come to mind are the BTCC 2009 Alfa Romeo Giulietta, and the 2019 BTCC Honda Civic Type R. The Civic stopped loading skins after it had 10 minutes earlier. For both cars I have multiple skins from several modders. They can't all be bad so it must be something with the car-maybe?
