I watched a video where a guy explained how to add skins into the game...At the end of the video he explained that you have to update something with the start up files and that scared me off from adding the skins..Is this still something you have to do or not.. thanks

False. Skins are drag and drop. Only mod cars require fiddling with boot files.

I just installed several skin packs in AMS2 for the first time and it was relatively straight forward, just copy the vehicles folder from the file and paste it to your AMS2 folder.

Only thing I could think of that might need to be updated is, would be the creator released an update or the developers add say a new type of shader in the future requiring the creator to update his file.
