smoke degeneration

I want tyre smoke to last longer / disperse slower. I have experience editing the ini files and have been doing various test with the tyre_smoke.ini and tyre_smoke.png. How can I make smoke hang around for longer and not degenerate as new smoke is generated?

There are more smoke mods that don't fix smoke than people posting about the real issue. Default Assetto smoke is fine but vanishes. Custom Shaders Patch is better but doesn't fix it. Shred's looks better too but doesn't fix it. Drifters makes brake lock too smokey and doesn't fix it either. I do not believe the solution can be fixed in either tyresmoke ini file. 1.4 million people have bought Assetto Corsa, and were all OK with this except 3 people? I guess it's not game breaking but I sure is weak.

It might just be that there is no param for that, did you not consider that to be possible? Idk what happend here, but if you went for somebody who just could not know, then i see why rejects were given :)

On another note, earlier versions of CSP <=0.1.75 had this param, its not available with higher versions, at 0 you would get longest lasting smoke:

I'd guess the main reason it's not easily exposed in CSP is because it's the fastest way to annihilate your framerate. A screen full of smoke and you can easily have 10 or 20 times the normal gpu load.

Really late reply but I stumbled across this on my hunt for the same thing. I use CSP and in the particles_fx.ini (Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/extension) i set limit to 1000 and quantity scale to 10 and get nice thick smoke that seems to last alot longer than usual. Performance might take a hit but I'm locked to 150fps and it never moved. Haven't gone into multiplayer like this but I imagine it would be blinding XD
