Some Fanatec ClubSport Pedals v3 Questions

1. The v2 pedals were 256 steps of resolution plugged into the wheel but 1024 steps if plugged directly into the PC. Fanatec advertises the v3s as 12 bits which I think means 4096 steps of resolution. Do the v3s now always use 4096 bits regardless of whether they're plugged into the wheel or PC?

I have a CSW v2 wheel if that matters.

2. Apparently driver 219 was the first driver to support the v3s. It's still the only "officially public" drivers while 222 and 223 are beta drivers that you have to find in their forums (not "official" release drivers). Should I keep using the 219 drivers?

3. Should I plug them directly into PC the first time I use them and then go do the firmware update? I already have the v219 drivers installed because of my clubsport v2 wheel...

I can't speak about theoretical advantages but my CSP v3's are connected directly to my CSW v2 and I'm using the 219 beta driver. Everything is working properly.
