Sound driver setup tool ?

Can someone explain the logic of having the sound driver setup tool on the in-game side menu instead of on the main menus when you have to exit to the main menu and restart the session before any changes take effect anyway?

Im not sure, never played with them. Could it be that the settings are car-specific?
