Sprints or Meca Cup1's

I’m one of those who stands behind Niels about this and calls the Meca a blatant copy of the HE Ultimates. I’ll never recommend them just because there’s plenty of ways to make pedals without copying literally almost every component style and dimension of the Ultimates.
If you’re willing to spend that much, you’d be better off buying Hydraulic pedals.

Meca Cup1 U.S. price is roughly twice that of Sprints.

Is there something I am missing? It looks to me like the Meca's are ~700Euro. Does it cost a lot to ship them to the states or is there some other tax? Seems like they would only be a couple hundred $ more then the Sprints.

I don't like that they seem to have used someone else's design. That may be a deal breaker for me, going to think about it some more. Not sure how much is copied and how much is the result of only having so many ways to make a pedal but I guess that is going to play a role on if I can support them. What does everyone think?

Sprints for the win for me, and don't forget the Aftersales Service, on the remote chance you need it.

Is that same service going to be there from a copycat brand?

I disagree they are direct copies, there are in fact quite a few improvements in the MECAS design over other pedal designs in my opinion. Although i am no expert.
The Mecas have had an excellent after sales service for me personally so far.

You still have the Meca's? I'm coming from v3's and Meca's are on top of my list.
