What is the SRO E-Sport GT Championship? Friend of RaceDepartment and GT3 superfan Chris Haye takes us through this exciting new esport series.

Unlike last year, the official esport series of the SRO GT World Challenge has become a fully fledged championship, where the same drivers, in the same cars, do battle out on track across a five round calendar on some of the finest circuits in Europe.

The AM category is a standalone championship in its own right, with qualified community sim drivers taking part in an intense series of races as they look to be crowned the 2020 SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Champion, win an incredible opportunity to test a real world Lamborghini Super Trofeo car and qualify for the Grand Finale race against real world drivers and sim racing professionals.

In this video, @Chris Haye introduces the series to our viewers, and gives a little bit of insight into what you can expect in the weeks ahead.

Our professional broadcast team consists of TV's Vicki Butler-Henderson presenting from the race studio, with Eurosports Martin Haven calling the action alongside Paul Jeffrey in the virtual commentary booth. Throughout the series we will be bringing you insight, entertainment, great racing and ample opportunity to take home some excellent sim racing and motorsport related prizes!
