Starting Engine During Race

I finally got everything working right and enjoying the game. One question though, I was doing a single race with Formula Reiza and when I spin out the engine stalls and stops. I tried to restart the engine but would not then I either restart the race or quit. How do I go around this?

the formula reiza and other formula 1 style cars dont have onboard starters.so you only can start those cars in the pitlane.but there is one way around this if you play offline.let AI take over for a couple of seconds and take control again.

I actually waited a while to see if I can restart the engine just watching the AI pass me over and over. I would step on the clutch when I spin out so the engine won't stop but most of the time I forget. Thanks for that info J. Horbelt.
