Humm, interesting, I had the same issue

No idea why it was gone, but it was for me as well. I mentioned it in discord voice chat right before the lights went out, since I saw it too (a bit late).
It's always good to be on discord voice and to listen. (And maybe for myself I'll try to talk more clearly)

Very odd. Don't think I had that issue. I had a 1L added in the set up tab though saved with my set up. If you add 1 L on the grid or race, that wouldn't save with your set up. Maybe that was the issue for some?

Pretty sure that's not what people are talking about. Apparently, the second race was started with the default car setup unless one reloaded their setup in the menu. This includes the pit presets, since those are saved with the setup.

By the way, while we're on the topic—is there a way to make AC/CM save the replay from the second and subsequent races? For me CM only had the qualy and the first race.

Yeah, CM is a bit weird here. I also have only Qualy and Race1.
And make sure that everything is set correctly in
Content Manager->Settings->Content Manager->Replays.
Adjust to your liking.
