DiRT 4 Switching Controllers Dirt 4?

Although I've asked this in another thread, I didn't resolve my problem. Perhaps my question was too specific. So, I'm re-formulating my question here to make it more generic.

I want to get my DD wheel recognized in Dirt 4.

When I select "Input" from "Options and Extras", I see only 2 choices under "Steering Device" - "Automatic Selection" (which has a green check mark) and "Keyboard". "Configuration Wizard" is greyed out (unselectable).

But, in "Device Management" I get 3 choices for "Configure Device" - "Keyboard", my pedals, and my wheel. All 3 are properly identified, but the green check is now next to "Keyboard".

I assume that I need to move the green check mark to the wheel in order to configure it, right? Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to do that. Can someone help me out with that?

FWIW, my pedals are on a separate USB port and are detected and configured correctly. It's only the wheel that is the problem.
