Hey guys,
Has anyone sourced a replacement motor for a T300 in North America? This will be my 3rd motor, and Im not interested in paying TM again. The motor is from China and cannot be sourced in NA. I'm not have any luck finding an equal.
Thx,
MM
Buhler are the manufacturer of the T500 motor, I think it is a 65 Watt motor in mine, but I must say that if used properly a T300 motor should last for 1000's of hours, are you running your FFB to high?
Thx for the reply Matthew. I always run at default, which is 75%. And on average I race 5 hours a week...which isn’t much. TM couldn’t explain why my wheel continues to eat motors. I will try sourcing the Buhler in NA. Thx
Did you always replace the motor by yourself or changed the whole wheel?
So what I‘m trying to say: is it really the motor that fails? I‘m running mine at 100% in driver and change ffb in the sim so it doesn‘t clip.
But I do use it quite often and it lasts way over 2 years now.
Both times I sent the wheel to TM and they replaced the motor. Apparently this was the issue both times. My wheel is still usable but all the low end forces are gone and there’s that clunky feeling. And, TM has now changed their return policy to a $175 flat rate for all repairs. Paying 175 for a $20 motor isn’t reasonable. Hopefully I can find a buhler to fit....thx I appreciatr the help.
