t500rs has play in steering wheel,

Hi all,
Have recently noticed that my t500rs has started to develop quite a bit of play in the wheel, as in it moves up down left and right. I took the wheel off and re tightened the screws but this made no difference. Just wondering if anyone else had has this problem or know of a fix ? Unfortunately I bought the wheel on ebay a year ago so don't have a receipt to contact thrustmaster support and presume it would be well out of warranty anyway.

The collar is done up tight? You haven't cross-threaded the collar?

Hi thanks for the reply, the collar is done up tight well just using my hands. It has never been undone before and not cross threaded as is easy to tighten.

Thinking about it maybe I have explained this wrong. It's more like the wheel pivots on the shaft, so if you push forwards on the left the right side comes towards you, and vice versa.
