Cars Tachometer limit

Hello, is there a way to make the tach on a car go beyond whats written on the dial?
I engine swapped BMW that has a tach up to 7k but engine revs to around 8300, so the car tach just comes to 7 and sticks there, I would like for it to go past 7.

I don't see an upper limit option for analog tachometers in most cars, maybe if it uses a lut it'll stop once it gets to the last value in the lut?
