Tactile Transducers/Bass Shaker Help

Hello all! I'm looking to add tactile transducers/bass shakers. Mr Latte has given me the bug in wanting to add them to my 8020 custom sim racing rig. I mainly race iRacing and a little bit of ACC and PC1, and PC2. My sim racing seat is a Kirkey 65 Series 17" seat. All points of contact with the transducer/shaker plates will be on rubber isolators. I'll be posting different options for best transducer/shaker placement.

So you have the SRS ShakeSeat?

Tactile feedback is courtesy of SRS ShakeSeat, SimHub, motherboard 7.1 audio
and an obsolete (pre-HDMI) Denon 7.1 receiver.

Obligatory extra padding for ShakeSeat was cut from a square of 1/2" interlocking EVA foam mat.
The (not very) hardest part of implementing this tactile feedback was identifying a mating connector for the SRS ShakeSeat.
Sitting directly on exciters, not much power is required.
I have a brake pedal rumble motor, would like to find a proper exciter to replace that
and am jealous of G-Belt owners.

I'm leaning more towards this now.
Understand, I use this as a substitute for, NOT simulation of, real driving feedback.
After acquiring my ShakeSeat, SRS released Shake Plus seat+back pad,
which I would probably buy instead, if starting now,
using the back pair for engine and acceleration feedback. As it is,
SimHub engine is tuned to shake bottom sensors only at low revs, e.g. in the pits.
Otherwise, it confounds lateral loading and tire slip sensing.
Would you recommend getting a separate transducer/shaker and amp for the pedal plate?
Thing is, I really don't recall getting much stimulation thru heels in real track cars
and expect it would be distracting.
I moved a well-fitting Momo seat from car to car and could mostly relax my torso while strapped in tightly, so plenty of sensation thru back, bottom and thighs.
Heel-and-toe position with right foot and left foot either on dead pedal
or over clutch. Responsive brake pedal rumble is wanted to help judge brake lockup,
at least until I cease resisting the seduction of G-Belt.

Practically, in order to shake heels, a heel plate should be
isolated from chassis and/or whatever locates pedals relative to seat.
Otherwise, with a pedal plate e.g. on rubber isolators,
throttle would also deflect with brake pressure, confounding heel-and-toe.
Perhaps that is a non-issue for left foot brakers using paddle or sequential shifters.
At any rate, some folks use SRS ShakePedal as an active heel rest.
Again, by directly stimulating heels, those exciters do not need much power.

So I bought the SRS ShakeKit. Can't wait to try it. Thank you for steering me that way. Also, what setting did you find work out best with the SRS program? Or did you use another program to run it?

My sim driving/flying haptic experience is limited to rumble motors and SRS ShakeSeat
with a wheel stand on carpet over concrete.
Engine vibrations otherwise confuse my cornering and braking feedback,
so attenuate engine above idle and below red line.
While adding road feel and impacts to ShakeSeat felt more realistic,
road/curb feedback thru AccuForce wheel suffices.
Having only just ordered a Dayton Thruster to replace brake pedal rumble motor,
I currently use a minimal tactile set:

Mr Latte seems authoritative for orchestrating more shakers..

Alright. I think I'll see what the SRS Shakekit does for me. If I'm feel like I'm missing that extra little bit, I'll get a bass shaker for under the seat. Thank you for helping me out with this!
