Why are the temp plates for trucks over 2 times bigger that the cars?

I was wanting to start up a truck series on rfactor2 but the time with the size of trucks temp do not know if its possible. Any ideas on how to bring down the temp plate size of the trucks to near the size of cars temp plate?
