The BUGATTI track of quality and accessible to all

Hello, if I may,

I am looking for (and not the only one I think) a modder that could create a good version of the current Bugatti track (Petit Le Mans).
There are already 2 versions but very little visible and moderately qualitative.

Moreover this year : "The Tourism Endurance Trophy returns to the Bugatti Le Mans circuit for its final on November 11, 12 and 13. A classic championship event for several years now, it concludes the TTE season and attracts many drivers from all over France, and even from abroad."

Thank you !

I'll do it for approximately $5000 USD, feel free to message me if its within your budget.

Also, "Petit Le Mans" is the name given to Road Atlanta, not the Bugatti Circuit :)

$5000? that's the price I would offer for the 100km le mans 1906 track. and I would prefer to delay a little bit until the dollar crashes.

So let’s run the numbers on your “reasonable counter offer”

You would pay 50 dollars per km, so in this case, Bugatti is 4km or so long. 200 dollars.

I’m gonna do a rough estimate here, and say I spend all my weekday evenings to build a track from scratch, with buildings and what not, to a decent level of detail. 300 hours (on the quicker side).

Your $200 dollar payment for 300 hours of work = 0.67 cents per hour.

Creating a model from scratch is no different than any other trade… you are paying someone to do something you can’t. You are paying for their skill and time.

Unfortunately it’s not something as simple as a couple of mouse clicks and a race track appears out of thin air. :D

I (aka abcdefg in grand prix 3 community) spent thousands of hours creating hundreds of tracks for grand prix 3. yet they're all available for free. anyone says my work is worthless?

Let's check your offer 5000 for bugatti that's 125000 for le mans 1906, what makes you think that 1906 track worths roughly a Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo

I surely did not say your work is worthless, puzzled where you got that from.

I also spend countless hours creating quality content that is currently hosted here on Race Department for free (click my profile - mods).

If you take requests and create tracks for your customers or community members without asking for reasonable compensation, then good for you, im happy you have the free time and energy to complete all these projects!

But please, don’t comment on something you know little about.

It's not 3d modeling I know little about. it's the value of my work I know little about. I wish I were you when discussing with my boss about salary of my job as as a software tester.;)
I should be paid at least 20% more, even my boss admitted that.
Anyway I don't regret releasing my mods for free for whatever game (either gp3 or AC)

Seems like a misunderstanding and both of you didn't really mentioned the point here:
You both invested countless hours into track building for free, because you enjoyed doing so (or at least enjoyed the end result).

The 5000€ would be for creating a track that John wouldn't create otherwise.
It's still not a great price per hour, but he'd probably enjoy creating it enough to make it worth for him at that price point.

For me, that would be like getting the request for learning and recording a difficult song on the guitar that I wouldn't learn otherwise.
But if you'd give me 100€, I'd do it.

Probably only 0.5€ per hour, but learning a new song is always nice (if I don't absolutely hate it).

What I forgot:
Thank you both for investing parts of your life time to create something we can enjoy for free! :)

Especially to John for your new Road Atlanta. I love that track since playing Sports Car GT as a child and having a lidar based version in AC is pure awesomeness!

Yeah, that's pretty much it!

I've done commission work in the past without charging the usual fee, or even free at one point of another, but.. let's say 'the stars aligned' and it happened to be something I also wanted to do.

I don't think the OP is really asking for a quote, just another misuse of the forums trying to request something. Maybe he'll get lucky, maybe not.

You are welcome!

Same, Road Atlanta since Sports Car GT and I think at the time... Test Drive Le Mans? it had a pretty decent rendition of it for its time.

You’re a little man @Johnr777 !
I understand the work this represents, but you are abusing me, sir!
I love the Bugatti track, I’ve drive here several times with my own car, I would even put a few pennies, but still, AC remains a game of enthusiasts, and I think many "drivers" will be happy with a beautiful representation of the track and full of beautiful thoughts and rewarding feedback for its creator.
(sorry, bad english).
