...what a load of cr*p.
It's no wonder people in general look at gamers the way they do.
It started off with a not too bad intro into the event...so far so good...so I settled down to watch the awards....I switched it off again not long after (half way through the 'rap' song to be precise)...it could have been a good event but was brought down to moronic levels by the introducers and the so-called 'entertainment'.
I now know why the event is streamed and not televised...total rubbish.

Best Independent Game - Inside

Best Mobile/Handheld Game - Pokémon Go

Best VR Game - Rez Infinite

Best Narrative - Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Best Art Direction - Inside

Best Music/Sound Design - Doom

Best Performance - Nolan North (as Nathan Drake, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End)

Games for Impact - That Dragon, Cancer

Best Action Game - Doom

Best Action/Adventure Game - Dishonored 2

Best Role-Playing Game - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Blood and Wine

Best Fighting Game - Street Fighter V

Best Strategy Game - Civilization VI

Best Family Game - Pokémon Go

Best Sports/Racing Game is Forza Horizon 3? Pokemon GO, best family game?! Kojima did what in 2016 other than Death Stranded trailers?!

ESports game of the year: Overwatch?! DOTA 2's The International broke records with a massive prize-pool and the game's popularity also skyrocketed in 2016. Overwatch is a great game, but it doesn't have anything on Esports when compared to LoL, DOTA 2 and CS:GO and even Starcraft II.

And the Most anticipated game is a Wii exclusive?
