As long as you were using a decent car and track I never though of Racer as being very visually limited before CG was implemented. But I guess that was just me. Ok, so most tracks were and are pretty bare but that comes with user created content that is such a massive size. I do not expect Racer to look like a pre-rendered ray-traced scene. I expect a self proclaimed "driving simulator" to simulate driving with reasonable graphics and not too many bugs with the simulation aspect.
Sure, it should look nice but it does not have to be over the top and try to compete with things like GT5 in the graphics area.
*shrug* Racer is not my project/job and on this topic I probably do not have the same opinion as most other users here. My opinions certainly do generally differ from those of most. I guess you and Ruud just have to ignore me.
