F1 2012: No, too expensive to develop

F1 2015: No
F1 2016: No, it's fine as it is
F1 2017: No, maybe next year

Will F1 2018 have dedicated server support for PC?

Is the answer I'll bet.
They just don't see it as an important feature. I have purchased every one of the F1 games and to be honest I never missed it so perhaps there is no need for dedicated servers. The vast majority of purchasers of this type of game probably wouldn't be bothered either. In my opinion.
Saying that I don't think it would harm them to add DS support. Perhaps it's a cost consideration.

Jup, but they do host the F1Esports, the official esport series of Formula 1. But have a selfhosting system that is obsolete for years now.

Give us some proper tools Codemasters and we'll give you an epic racing league in return.

Even so, when watching the eSports F1 final I noticed what looked like lag. Is that down to poor coding?
