Tips on setting up a championship

Hi
I have questions about setting up a championship. I'm sure this has been discussed before but I've missed it.
  • How do you name a championship? All my championships are called My Championship, that's it.
  • When can you save/when does it save?
  • Do you have to keep AC from once you've started Qualifying until you've finished the actual race (otherwise you lose all progress)?
  • Can you copy a championship you've already created?
  • If you set up, say, a 15-minute qualifying session, do you have to do the qualifying for the entire 15 mins or can you stop if you're happy with one of your laptimes already and have your fastest lap counted?
  • How to restart, from the beginning, a championship you've already started and completed / saved race(s)?
Any other tips you may have on setting up championships in AC that I should know?

Any help would be much appreciated.

^ this.

Even the vanilla launcher with its awful UI has obvious way to name it.

It saves between races, and you need to complete a race to make progress. You can clone championships with CM, you don't have to complete entire qualifying/practice (just use skip session) and you restart a championship by resetting it.

Thanks a lot for your help. :)
"It saves between races, and you need to complete a race to make progress. " So a "race" is practice + qualifying + race? My question being: if I stop playing after qualifying (and e.g. turn my compuer off), it won't save my progress of the qualifying I've done so I can't then just go into the actual race against AI after restarting AC?

Afaik it only saves after you complete the race, not during or after qualifying, and if you quit after the race has started your race result will be DNF. Couldn't you just try for yourself? Make championship with 5 minute qualifying, complete it and then see what happens if you do as you said.

You can access championships with either CM or vanilla launcher, but I'm not entirely sure if vanilla launcher will use the extra features you can have with CM, if you made one with CM.

I now know - you need the full version of CM to make championships. So I've got the full version now and it's very good for creating and managing championships.

You mention pit stops. Yeah, me too - I'd really like to set up races where all competitors have to to do one, or two, pitstops.

I donated to Content Manager owner and then successfully created a championship. Or copied a F1 1991 championship from the downloads and did as instructed. Amazing. Enjoying it a lot.

But where is the championship standings table? Can you view the current situation during the year somewhere? Or does that have to be created separately. Can't seem to find it on the championship menu.

Sorry for newb question but I only had the PC version for weeks. Played AC religiously in PS4 for years.
