Does anyone else here really want the Top Gear test track in this game? I've been really enjoying how alive the cars feel and how it feels to drive on the limit. Somehow the cars feel more "pliable" on the limit than in most any other sim while not feeling too easy either. I'm not sure how they have done it, but it makes for an incredibly fun time shaving seconds off my lap. At first I was having issues with the braking but by calibrating the pedals and turning the brake power down to about 80% it has become very good. I still feel like the high downforce cars need a different braking response though as irl the drivers stamp hard on the pedal when they are moving fast and gradually let off as they slow down to prevent locking, which is the opposite of what you would do in a standard car. The formula hybrid mods from Race Sim Studio get this perfect imo. I fully believe this will be corrected before too long and by changing the brake power and just learning how this game feels, it is already much better than when I first tried. The FFB is the best I have experienced in terms of how well I can react to the car losing its balance and it somehow gives me more feedback in the wheel center (g29) than any other sim, making straights a lot more exciting than other sims. I do feel like the ACC feedback might be a little more detailed in the more subtle aspects but overall the ffb in AMS2 allows me to be more confident on the limit. Anyways, I sort of got off topic although all this is why I would love the Top Gear test track in this game. I could spend hours taking different cars to that track and seeing where they stack up. I have already been doing this with other tracks but for whatever reason this game seems perfect for it. I really hope they bring in some more road cars too as the feeling on the limit and the ffb make them a ton of fun.
