VERISON 2 UPDATES: 1. Wall now has collision added and looks more like the real thing. 2. Rumble strips have been set up to feel more realistic. 2. Track borders have been refined so it is more realistic (no more driving through grass with no consequences/ AI stay on the track surface.) 3. Starting grid is now single lane so now you can start anywhere on the grid/ improved race starts so less likely to be pileups. 4. Added terrain, trees, parked cars...

This is a good start--keep going. The track surface, side stripes, and runoff areas need to be modeled separately to improve and define their appearance. A Google maps or other captured surface image should only be used as a reference to "build" the track, or can be used for distant terrain features outside of the track. Because of the low-res quality of the map image, it currently looks like you're driving on a dilapidated back road where the edges of the pavement are deteriorating.
