TrackIR

Is there any TrackIR Support in ACC? Or will there be any?

Since Assetto Corsa runs perfect with TrackIR i wonder that ACC do not. Ok i lied... i do not wonder... i just cry like a baby that i dont have TrackIR in ACC...

I share your frustration, i decided to shelve it until they add Track-IR, never realised how much i would miss it until i played ACC. I have been checking their forum and their is no-update from what i can tell.

I would expect it to be ready for release but then again you would think they would test it before release?...it remains a mystery!

At the start, TrackIR is not supported by Unreal Engine ...
Some mentioned it might ... but it should mean that Kunos has to work on it to implement it.

I don't expect it within the next weeks or even maybe months ... if they intend to do it, what I'm not really sure of yet.

Same for me ...I just test ACC one or 2 hours at each built and let it sleep on my PC until the next one.
When used to TrackIR, drive without it .... is not really pleasant, something is really missing. :(

I use TIR too in AC/rFactor 2 and missing it in ACC, BUT I took a look in the ACC config file and messing around with the cameraoptionsea.json
Dokuments/ACC/Config:
{
"defaultCamera": 0,
"lookBehindCar": 1,
"generalMovement": 1,
"dashcamFactor": 0,
"offsetForwardCm": 0,
"offsetUpCm": 0,
"offsetPitch": 0,
"lookWithWheel": 0.5,<-----Changed
"lookWithWheelGamma": 0.5,<-----Changed
"lookWithWheelSmoothing": 0.5,<-----Changed
"lookWithWheelHeadRoll": 2.0<-----Changed
}
You can change it by 0.1 or hole numbers ex. 1.0

Maybe not directly, but there's a plugin. This from the NaturalPoint (TrackIR) website, 22 December 2018: Unreal Engine 4 Plugin 1.20 now available - Real-time interface for streaming 6DoF rigid body data to Unreal.

The post is not there anymore, but is that plugin really for TrackIR? It looks like it's for VR devices.
There's also a Github project of Optitrack, which is unfortunately GPL, so there is no chance Kunos can use this.

You may be correct. I found the link on another site that was referring to TrackIR plugins. The only other thing I've found is a reference to a FreeTrack plugin which was compatible with an earlier version of UE4 (so also compatible with Opentrack and FaceTrackNoIR).

The only answer they gave at the time .... "it's not one of our priorities" ( or something like that in fact but the meaning was it ). .... sure now they still have other priorities ( surely too many ! :roflmao: ).

After a long time i drove today ACC Version 1.0.7 and was happy...TrackIR works.... The only lack i have is, that the driver looks right when i move my head left, i move my head up and the driver looks down.... ACC moves the head opposed to my real head movements. Is there a way to make it work normal? I found neither a way in ACC nor in TrackIR to correct that error.

That worked, Thx. Its a great improvement for ACC to support TrackIR now!

I wish the ACC-Developer would make an ingame Option for the "Invert"-Thing, because now i must select this new Profile in TrackIR each time i start ACC, because all my other Racesims uses my prefered NON-Inverted Profile. Thats inconvenient.
