turning auto pit drive off

since i am playing with mouse, when i restart after a blunder my steering always snap either left or right after manual control is given during pit out....is there a way where i can drive the car by myself inside the pit lane? there is a pit limiter, so why is the AI doing the driving.....

Very easy as there's an option for using or not this Pitlane Control System.

It's in the Options... Advanced tab. You just have to uncheck the Pitlane Control System. ;)
it was off by default and it is still AI driving out of pitlane

I'm never in mode "Novice" ... so try it in mode "Simulation" ... it should work.
now that's weird....realism settings shouldn't interfere with options that can be turned on/off....by this time i copied the WEC 2011/2016 mod in the game, and whatever realism setting i choose, if pitlane control system is off, i have manual control....the only drawback of this mod is, it continuously keeps freezing my PC until it starts....

That's surely because it's a heavy mod... and with a much modded GTR2 with many cars and tracks, the loading time can be very long.

Do you have:
- 4GB Patch installed ?
- a process manager ( allowing to make GTR2 work on more cores ) installed ?

What also helps to load GTR2 quicker is if it is installed on a SSD or in my own case a SSHD ....
With it, 1st GTR2 load is +- 80 seconds ... but at next load +- 20 seconds ( as my installs are rather heavy ).

Working with a Mod Manager is also the way to make your install less heavy ... JSGME or OVGME are rather easy to use and to just activate only the mods and tracks you're momentarily using ... while the other unactivated ones are out of the game ...
Less heavy GTR2 will of course load much quicker.
( NB: my Steam Version just modded with the 10th Anniversary Patch + 1 or 2 mods + a few addon tracks loads in a few seconds. )

Open up your PLR file with notepad and make sure the following two entries under [Driving Aids] are as so:

Autopit="0"
No AI Control="1"

Also it doesn't matter what Mode your using with these entries. Novice, Semi Pro or Simulation.
