Turning off steering wheel in cockpit

hi and yes, yes i know this is something already talked about but i'm going mad to make invisible the steering wheel on cockpit, i've already turned it off but this simply stopped it from rotating and the rim is still visible while i am driving, this makes an arcade effect for me.
Solutions? thank in advance

can we say this is orrible in an already really good sim Ross? ithink so, seems really stupid and numb in my tastes, tonight i was very tempted to run but this orrbile issue pushed me away, i know this sounds tough from me but can't think different now

It is an orrible issue, yes. In some cars removing the driver is a must in VR because otherwise you literally get your view blocked by his hands. But having a static wheel instead is even more immersion-breaking and problematic.

The hands drive me a little nutty. I already have one pair, why do I need another? :O_o:
I don't know how you play, but in VR they're quite important. It feels more immersive if you have a virtual body, though it can also break immersion if done badly. (Ie, if the virtual body doesn't come close to matching your real bodies position.) That's quite often the case in AMS 2 at the moment, though far more of an issue is the animation of some of the hands which literally block your vision.

Okay, that makes sense. I don't use VR so I didn't think of the importance of the hands.

Hey, how did you turn off the steering movements?

This is a little off topic but I read one of the poster saying they have to turn the driver off in VR. A trick I use if I am having the problem of the driver's model getting into the the field of view is to lean back a bit in my chair and resetting the view with the space bar. I sometimes move the view over a inch or two in cars like the C3PO corvette because it is too close to the window. Hope this helps.
