Turtle Beach Ear Force PX21 all volume through chat control

I have only used these as headphones up until now and now with Teamspeak I am having difficulty with the chat and game volume, essentially all volume is being controlled through the chat adjustment. I have followed directions as to how to set it up but makes no difference. Anybody else have these with a similar issue?
And my apologies in advance to my first club race friends if it doesn't function properly. I am not ignoring you,

Yes this happens to my Tritton headset a few times each year when windows randomly changes it.
If there is a PS3/Xbox switch on the side , set it to PS3. The Xbox mode sends all outputs to one side. Next go into Teamspeak and select "tools" and then "playback".
in the drop down menu select the Audio driver that is not your normal motherboard audio.
On mine Realtec is my game and C-media USB is my chat output and mic.
